FAQ

How do I know if I need counselling/psychotherapy?

Only you can decide whether you wish to try counselling or psychotherapy. Talking to someone confidentially in a safe private space, who is not a friend or family member can make all the difference. Counselling or psychotherapy provides a regular time to explore your feelings and talk about your problems. A counsellor can help you develop better ways of coping, allowing you to live the life you deserve.

How long does each counselling session last?

Each session will usually last 50 minutes. You can discuss this further with Caroline if you feel that a different length of session is required to best meet your needs.

How regularly will I see my counsellor or psychotherapist?

Special Needs Counselling Service offers weekly sessions, however this can vary depending on your needs and personal requirements.

For information about counselling and psychotherapy visit It’s Good To Talk  or the NHS Choices websites or contact Caroline for more information.
