About Caroline

B&W Don 1Caroline has been a Registered General Nurse for over twenty years. She is a member of the Royal College of Nursing and  abides by the Nursing and Midwifery Council professional code of conduct.

She is a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist and is a registered and accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Registered MBACP Accred). In all her work she abides by and adheres to the BACP Ethical Framework.

She has many years of experience of working with  people affected by disability and chronic health conditions. Having worked extensively with  statutory, voluntary, health, education and social care services,  she understands the complexities that can face individuals, carers and professionals.

Previous and present experience includes:

  • Therapeutic Support Nurse at a school for children and young people with moderate learning difficulties and autism.
  • Co facilitating groups for parents of children with additional/special educational needs
  • Counsellor for a local charity specialising in counselling young people who have  experienced rape, sexual abuse or assault
  • Counsellor for a  youth charity working with young  people aged 11-25 and their families.
  • Working with case management and legal teams to offer counselling to their clients and extended families following injury or illness.
